Items needed for shelter and housing clients:

Donations are made to the Immaculate Conception Shelter & Housing Corporation main office and are distributed to our shelter and supportive housing clients. Please call (860) 724-4823 for more information.

Depending on staff availability, pick-up of gently used items may be arranged for those living in: Hartford, West Hartford, East Hartford, Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, Windsor, South Windsor, Newington and Bloomfield.

• Toiletries- Full size (soap, shampoo, conditioner, baby powder, lotion, chapstick, mouthwash, toothbrush/paste, dental floss)

• Men's clothing (gently used pants, shirts, sweatshirts, socks, underwear, shoes, boots, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves)

• Over the Counter Medications (Tylenol, Aspirin, Tums, cough syrup, cough drops)

• First Aid (Band-Aids, bandages, Neosporin, medical tape)

• Non-perishable foods (canned vegetables, soups, ready-to-eat meals, pasta, cereal, coffee, juice, etc.)

• Small household appliances (radios, alarm clocks, fans, etc.)

• Bedding (comforters, blankets, sheets, pillows)

• Kitchen items (pots & pans, plates, glasses, flatware, serving utensils, colanders, dish pans & drainers, etc.)

• Small kitchen appliances (toasters, toaster ovens, microwaves, etc.)

• Bath items (shower shoes or flip flops, shower curtains, towels, bath mats, etc.)

• Household items (area rugs, curtains)

• Paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, tissues)

• Furniture (kitchen tables/chairs, end tables/coffee tables, sofas, dressers) 

• Cleaning supplies (laundry & dish detergent, bleach, brooms, mops, dust pans, sponges)
